Hard Anodize 1.5 MIL 6061-T6

Capacity

3 tanks 12 - 14 ft long with a total surface area of 160 sq ft. This enables ATMF to handle large volume customers as well as the small machine shops

Typical turn-around time of 2-3 days dependant on difficultly of parts. Any masking will add additional time.

Sulfuric Hard Anodize, Type III:

Finish is produced on various alloys (1000 to 7000 series) and castings of aluminum. Material may be processed clear or organic dyed, usually black. Masking may be applied to prevent coating buildup in defined areas that allows conductive surfaces to remain.

Capabilities of producing up to 4 mil coatings. Typical coating thickness ranges from 0.5 mil to 2 mil, salvage operations may reach 0.0050 or more depending on aluminum alloys used. This coating is referred to as "hard anodize" and is used predominately for applications requiring increased abrasion wear, corrosion resistance, and electrical resistance.

Alpha Rectification & Additives :
ATMF utilizes one of the premier hard coat systems in the country. The system is produced with a special half-wave rectifier and process bath additives. The Alpha Plus System creates a superior anodic coating with excellent pore structure to ienhance the microfinish and increase the hardness for durability.
